The Human Aura

The human aura is a luminous energy field that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body and emanates constantly changing colours... according to our moods, health, and emotional state. This luminous body was first recorded in Western literature by Pythagoreans around the year 500 B.C. As early as that time, they were aware that its light could produce a variety of effects in the human organism, including the cure of illness.

Semyon Kirlian, a Russian electronics expert, discovered a technique in the late 1930's that enabled him to photograph the human aura.

Barbara Ann Brennan is one of those gifted adults who can see the human aura with the naked eye. In her book Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field she describes seven basic layers, and can see two levels beyond that. She claims the 8th and 9th levels relate to who we are beyond this lifetime. Everything from the 7th level down is, in a sense, a vehicle to guide and support us through this lifetime, since this is where all the experiences we have had in this lifetime are stored. These seven layers contain the blueprints for possible experiences we programmed when planning this particular lifetime. We create our experiences to teach our soul certain lessons we have chosen to learn. Of course, due to our free will, we do not choose to have all of these experiences.
