Channelling is a method of communication from some other level or dimension of reality to the conscious mind of the channel (person who is doing the receiving).

The source of the information received includes:

• spirits of the deceased
• the Higher Self
• the Universal Mind
• space beings
• higher guides, teachers, and Masters.

The "channel" acts as a vessel or instrument that "tunes in" to the super-conscious level of information. The "channel can partially or totally set aside waking consciousness, to allow the information to flow. When consciousness is totally set aside, a scribe or tape recorder must be used so the channel can review the material in a wakeful state.

When we learn how to meditate, and enter our own altered state of consciousness, we in fact become a channel for receiving messages from our higher selves, our guides and teachers, and yes... our loved ones who have passed over.
