Invocation

An invocation is a prayer asking for protection or help during a religious ceremony.

It is a good idea to utter an invocation prior to commencing a healing, channeling, or even just to aid meditation.

There are many well written invocations available on the Internet and in books. Here is one that I use with my development classes:

I invoke the light of the Christ within. I am a clear and perfect channel. Light is my guide.
